anaveral Dunes is set in Cape Canaveral, Florida along the Atlantic ocean. Most of the course winds its way through parkland style holes lined with oak and palm trees. Water plays a key role on these holes and provides some challenging approach shots. Six of the holes parallel the beach and are set among sand dunes. The course was originally entitled Oceanview Golf Links and designed for JNSE. Leslie and I took many photos of local trees and beach panoramas to ensure that the look of the course was accurate to its setting. I had the pleasure of working with Headgate Studios in developing this course for PGA 2000.
